Love this place, great food, outside dining, lots of fun. They have the best clamcakes I've ever had. Calamari is awesome as well.

Reading a few of the reviews about this place I have to say, I'm not sure why they have not got better reviews. My wife, son and I stopped in here on a whim and the experience was great. We were greeted promptly at the door and the hostess saw we had a young child and asked if we would like to set near the aquariums they have on the one side of the dining hall. Once seated our waitress Lyndsey came and got our drink order promptly and was very attentive in realizing we were ready to order. The food came out in 15 minutes or so and was hot and tasted fantastic my wife had the fish tacos, my son had the macaroni-n-cheese, and I had a lobster roll. The live music that was playing was very good and very fitting for the atmosphere. The bill was what I was expecting for water front dinning even in Fall River. My family and I will certainly be returning here.

Well all I have to say the only best part of my experience .. is Trish. The bartender was very professional .. quick and efficient ... that was on the inside ... when i went outside on the deck .. the outside waitress, kerry, .. took forever to order my food .. , it wasnt too busy outside but .. they said it would take an hour and half for gluten free lobster mac n cheese ... they didn't get our sauces for our appetizers. ... I order stuff. My friends order stuff. They ran out of fries for fish n chips ... we .... just ended up ordering pizza ... .. The manager Elroy was professional and efficient .. try to resolve our problems. .. but all in all it wasn't a too pleasant experience. The manager Elroy made up for experience. . Gave 2 rounds and appetizers for free ... they made up for the experience ..... despite certain discrepancies .. .. Elroy really made our experience ..pleasant. and I'm happy. We are happy ... I will do future business here

This was the worst dining experience I have had in a long time, and I frequently go out to eat! To start, it was a beautiful afternoon when I approached the hostess stand and asked for a table. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, she told me there would be a 20 minute wait. I naturally assumed that this was for a table outside given the location and weather. About 10 minutes later another couple arrived and directly inquired about bar seating outside. To them, she mentioned that all outdoor seating is handled with a different hostess outside. We told her we planned to go outside for a seat. She tried to discourage that saying it's usually very busy. When we got outside there were still about 5 empty tables and we were seated instantly. Upon being seated for a few moments and having our first drink, a woman approached very rudely and asked if I had "just sat down there" or if a hostess had seated me. When I said a hostess sat me, she just said oh and walked away. I noticed her behaving in this unprofessional manner to other patrons as well. I'm not sure why the hostess was not keeping these records. The food was ok. Not really anything noteworthy. The drink I ordered was good. Upon finishing our food, the waitress came to retrieve our plates. Instead of walking around the table to grab the presumably heavy bowl that contained ice cold fishy water, she reached over us and spilled the entire thing all over my boyfriend and the table and ground around us. Since the table has slates in it, the ice continued to get on us for a few moments afterwards too. Although she did apologize, she did not comp anything from the bill. I found this extremely unusual based on my time both working at restaurants and going out to eat. My boyfriend and I had planned a nice evening stroll after dinner and it was very unfortunate to have wet pants and to reek of seafood. I would only recommend this to someone for drinks outdoor - and even then the service would likely disappoint.

Came here for a late lunch. I had the seared scallops with butternut risotto. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it. Other entrees on the table were meatloaf, chicken parm and steak tips which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. I'm definitely coming back again. Our waitress Daniella was pleasant and efficient. Great views as well.

The food was good, good location, good service ect. The problem I had I was sitting at the bar and a gentleman who works there puts his arm around me and doesn't ask me to take off my Red Sox hat he tells me to lose it. I found it very disrespectful to put your hands on someone and tell them to 'lose' the hat. I didn't see any sign upon entering that had any dress code. Mind you I was wearing jeans and a polo shirt so I wasn't dressed 'ghetto'. Also there was a gentleman also sitting at the bar wearing a bucket-like hat, something a fisherman would wear, and baggy jean shorts that were at his ankles and he never got told to lose the hat or leave. Probably won't go there again.

This place has 5 star potential, and we keep coming back, hoping they will get it together. The food is great; the only complaint I have would be the salmon, which I didn't bother to send back as it was edible and I think that growing up in the Northwest, I've been spoiled with fresh Alaskan. The service ranges from mediocre to unacceptable. With one exception, the servers have been very nice, but inexperienced and unavailable. The waitress put half of our table's orders in incorrectly. When our plates were brought out, and it became clear that the mistake had indeed been her's, she DIDN'T APOLOGIZE, instead just said, "Oops , I'll get it fixed". They did comp one of the two plates, but the manager didn't make the effort to offer his apologies while we waited either. Another time, I was served a full salmon entree with a side salad, when I had ordered a dinner salad with salmon as an add-on. Easy mistake, except the waitress specifically asked, and I had clarified how I wanted it. A couple of times we've received not a variety of bread, but what appeared to be an odd assortment of leftovers. The little details, such as consistency, attentiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy customers make all the difference in the world!

4 stars for food. Zero for timeliness. Even an owner apologized. Should have knocked apps or a round of drinks off of our tab. Arrived at 6:30pm. Not in a huge rush BUT our meals arrived at 10:15! CRAZY- as we were to have stayed! Other diners equally disgusted; some bolted!

I was there on Aug 1 and I thought the place was very nice. However, the staff did not have the appearance of any training. The hostess did not know if there was call ahead or not, which we had done with someone over the phone. So we got there at the appointed time of 6:30pm and didn't get seated till 7:15pm. Then we waited for the server to notice us. Upshot is we waited for 3 hours to get our meal and it wasn't all that crowded. Several groups got up and left. I would try this place again but I will want to know if they have improved their service. Rather a shame as the venue is outstanding. The manager needs to go back to school.

We were there to discuss a potential reunion dinner next year. No one seemed happy to see us & there was no banquet menu. The place is lovely but no one offered us anything to drink or a sample of any of the food. All options started @ $30 (buffet, hors d'oeuvres, sit down dinner, food stations). We left feeling like we really wanted to give them our business but they didn't care if we ever came back.

Nice location, average food, above-average prices. Situated next to Battleship Cove, the Cove Restaurant offers nice views of the USS Massachusetts and the Taunton River (if you're able to block out the power station and cooling towers that mar the skyline)... The deck and outdoor bar is nice, should you be fortunate enough to get a seat. Dock access for boats is a nice touch. There is nothing particularly memorable about the food: The lobster wontons and codfish cakes were decent, but the clam chowder was disappointingly bland and watery, with virtually no clams and very little potato. The seafood scampi was good, but at $22 for what is essentially a small (single-serving), it was simply not worth it. Drinks were reasonably well-prepared, with the typical tap selection for beers: Sam Adams, Shock-Top, etc. 2 appetizers, 2 drinks, a small pizza, and a cup of chowder cost us about $80. Not worthwhile... The ambiance is clean, if not somewhat austere. Service is friendly, but somewhat harried: It is a new restaurant, so many folks are flocking there for the novelty of it. Parking is limited, making the complimentary valet a welcome addition.

Came here, and the place looked nice inside. However food was average. Management should reconsider only serving the raw bar outside. It has a lot of potential, but would be nice to have a better menu outside rather than the raw bar. Did not like sitting on high stools with no backs for dinner. I do not mind high tables but for dinner, at least have backs on the stools. Will wait a bit before I go back. If it changes, will update my review.

My husband made 7pm dinner reservations for the night before Valentine's Day (Friday the 13th). We got there a little early and we were sat immediately. I got an Angry Lizzie for a drink while the husband got an Angry Orchard. We split the Lobster Rangoons as an Appetizer. They were out of this world good. I know I will have cravings for these in the future. Then we had some warm bread rolls and butter. This was then followed by raw oysters. Raw oysters are one of my favorite foods on the planet and they were fresh and delicious. We were offered more bread and butter after the oysters but declined. The food came out right after another, which we enjoy. We don't like to wait. For dinner I had the pan seared scallops with butternut risotto and grilled asparagus. My husband had steak tips with mashed potatoes and mixed veg. We both loved our meals! They tasted phenomenal and everything was cooked perfectly. My only complaint was my portion of scallops: only 4. I think I should have gotten more for what I paid. It is probably inline with other restaurants outside of Fall River, but in FR we are used to getting large portions for a very inexpensive price. If the scallops were larger or if there were 6, I would have given a 5 star rating. For dessert, we both had the creme brûlée. It was probably the best I've had. It had lots of burnt sugar. The service was great, too. We like to eat then leave. Everything was prompt, just how we like it. The waitress was friendly and attentive. It was busy, but they seemed to have everything under control and organized. It was also not noisy. I would have expected the open floor plan with the bar in the middle to cause a lot of noise, but it wasn't at all. I will definitely go back.

I have been here twice for lunch and once for dinner the prices are reasonable and the food is good quality. The drinks are great and cheap . Overall the place look great and their service should improve as they get more experience. Just keep the quality of the food and drinks

We had a great time at the bar!! My friend and I went for some drinks and also split the Mediterranean pizza. The pizza was delicious and our bartender Christy was super friendly and made the best drinks! I'm really surprised to read bad reviews about the service because we had a great experience! We will be back soon.

I've been here twice now with my boyfriend and sorry to say not very impressed. The first time we came here was near the end of the summer so the back deck was still open. The deck is really nice and huge; great atomsphere for outside drinking. Service on the deck was not good but we understood the restaurant was new so we sat at the bar. Service at the bar was fine; the bees were not. The entire bar was swarming with bees everywhere; kind of ruined the experience and we rushed to get out of there. We decided to give this place a second shot last weekend. I will say that whoever invested in the property did a great job renovating, the place looks great compared to what it was, however, everything else continues to disappoint. My boyfriend and I have worked in the restaurant business for many years so we're always excited to try new places and new foods; the menu is very boring carrying items that can be found at every other restaurant. We ended up just getting drinks. In the end, we might end up back here for a drink or two at the bar as the atmosphere is nice. Spice up the menu! I'm bummed because I was looking forward to having something new in the city.

Add a front of the house mgr responsible for elevating staff and an experience kitchen expediter , we might have something here, at least three stars. Nice spot, ok design, marginal food but service inconsistent or non existent. We ordered shared plates, little necks, salad and meatloaf at the bar. Asked us" you want it all at once?" huge difference " how would you like it to arrive?" app and saad came, never saw bartender again except to say main course was coming 40 mins in it finally arrived. It's the little things, lots of little things that will keep rating low. Sad so many hopes for our waterfront but this needs stronger mgmnt, trained staff and better back of the house mgmt.

The full menu is only available inside. Hostess is rude service is slow. This experience was so horrible I feel that I really need to start at the beginning. The hostess inside were friendly and very helpful, however upon leaving the inside of the restaurant for the deck we found a very different experience. The hostess was rude and too busy walking around like Paris Hilton to greet us. Once she did she was disorganized and unable to answer any questions or figure out where she could seat us. Our waitress Rebecca was friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible. After or during our first round of drinks I received a text from a few friends seeing if it was too late to join us I said no and informed our waitress that we would have 3 more joining us, Rebecca said no problem one of the tables next to had just paid and were getting ready to leave and that she would reserve the table for us. Before the table could even be cleaned the RUDE hostess sat a party there, when I approached her and stated that the table just sat should had been reserved for us as we had more people joining us she stated well I have already seated another party there so thats not going to happen. sufficient to say we ended up inside. Everyone in our party order either salads or appetizers and well after complaining multiple times about how long the food was taking, FYI this was at the hour from order mark the waitress Rebecca apologized and said that all waitstaff had been kicked out of the kitchen by the chef and got a manager. The manager went into the kitchen and came to our table without resolution. He apologized and was disinterested in anything we had to say. The only consolation that was offered to us was that he would remove what we had not received from the bill. This has to be the worst restaurant in Fall River which really says something I will not go back and unless your a masochist I would strongly suggest Taco Bell over this place.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner, he wanted swordfish the bartender came back said they were all out of sword fish.. No big deal he chose cajon shrimp linguini and I ordered a Greek salad with salmon ! Our food comes out my salad has sword fish on it (I thought they were all out) my boyfriends shrimp linguini still had the tails on the shrimp! We pointed out to the bartender that the salad had sword fish on it not salmon so she brought it to the kitchen and comes back 15 minutes later with a salad with salmon on it I cut into the salmon and it's frozen and raw! So you would think the manager would come over and say sorry or what else can I get you .. Nope nothing he stood at the corner of the bar and looked at us. All that the cove has to offer is great decor ! Service at the bar was also great! Food and management was pathetic ! We will never be back !

First time here and there's all these tables open but yet there's a half hour wait the hostess was rude when I asked why there was a wait. This place is awful unless you make a reservation I don't recommend

Just a shame this attractive restaurant has such horrid service. Went there yesterday with 3 other ladies, early afternoon (not crowded). Yet, it took us 20 minutes to be seated even though we made no special requests. Food OK, but the wait for the check and return of change was 1/2 hour. (There was no paper is at least one stall in the bathroom, also.) In summary, there appears to be a very poor manager here or incredibly unskilled staff persons.

One star is for the location and nice renovation. I would like to see this restaurant flourish but I have serious doubts about this cursed location after my very first visit. Sunday August 10 was as nice of a day as possible. We docked with the assistance of a young man from the restaurant which was a nice touch but it went completely downhill after the crew and I walk up the gangway to the outdoor deck (which is beautiful by the way). Immediately I heard a table complaining and an employee apologizing about something but I did hear her say "we learned not to give the chefs Sunday off". Really? One of the best days of the summer at a waterfront restaurant? No one acknowledged the three of us so we make our way to the service area of the outdoor bar and hung out for a few minutes still without acknowledgement. I asked a server if we sit ourselves and I honestly can't say if she said yes or no because I was shocked when see blurted out "no food is being served on the deck only drinks. You have to go inside for food". I have a minor in my group. That also might be a legal issue with drinks and no food. I know it's not right but it's a litigious society we live in where people are always looking to blame someone else for their problems. It opens a can of worms if something happens to a patron after departure. A good lawyer would have a field day. Ok so inside we go and approach the hostess station of the sparsely occupied restaurant and the two girls tell me it will be an hour. At that point it was back to the boat and a short ride over to the Tipsy Seagull for our 2 o'clock lunch. The Cove may have better food but you can't get it so I'll never know. The Tipsy is solid but I was hopping for a little more upscale dining experience. Management and training are seriously lacking at the Cove and I hope the owner can correct things in a hurry and save his investment which is substantial before it's to late. He really did a wonderful job with the property and the summer is when he's going to make or break it with the boaters being mostly local and the best candidates to return during the cooler months. The restaurant needs to regroup in a hurry...A BIG HURRY. Once that's done he needs to do a new press release explaining what happened and how it's been rectified. Best of luck to them because there's endless potential and a great setting at the Cove.

Walked out. Had 2pm reservations for 5 people on a Sunday. No one was in restaurant, but hostess still gave us a beeper & said it would be a few minutes. After 15 min. We inquired about sitting by window, where again there was not one patron, & her response was, you have to give us a minute. After 20 min. We informed them we were leaving & hostess whispered profanities as we left. We then spoke with manager who was nice, but made no effort to accommodate us, just said he asked hostess not to seat us because kitchen was backed up because they had one party of 10. Quite sad they can't accommodate a party of 10 & another party of 5 at the same time.

Went here on their 3rd day and had to wait awhile for apps and drinks but they were still working out the kinks on their computer system. The place is great looking inside and out and the outside bar is awesome. We went again yesterday and this time got some oysters, pizza and a lobster roll. Service is still a bit chaotic as servers don't seem to know what table is theirs. Food runners don't know what table the food they are bringing out goes to. We were offered appetizers and entrees at different times. The oysters took a long time to come out. About 2 minutes before our entrees. So they get a lower rating(and I am being more patient than the other reviews) for the discombobulation of the service and kitchen time. However, the pizza was very good. The crust is nothing like the crappy pizza that is around the south shore. Not bar pie(which is a good thing). The lobster salad was pretty good on a house made hot dog roll. The only complaint is that the bun is too big in ratio to the amount of lobster. Other than that, very good. The oysters were very fresh and excellent. I will go here again, especially since we can boat there. They just seriously need to fix the service issues because good food is only good if you can get it when you expect it.

We went there late for drinks after dinning somewhere else.Place looks great, very open and modern. Drinks were ok but pricey. Worst service ever. Waiter was friendly but with lack of basic service ethics. He kept rushing us with the check..I guess he was about to be done with his shift but still......

At last Fall River has a restaurant where you can take out-of-town guests! It was far from busy but the wait staff were running around like chickens without heads. The Thanksgiving sandwich is very good. While it took a long time for the food to be delivered to the table, the waitress was in a hurry to pick up the plates while several of us were still eating. We wanted to inquire if the kitchen was running out of dishes. Wonder what they do when the place is full of customers. I will say this that no restaurant is worth waiting more than 20 mins to be served. However, we would be willing to give it a try.

I will be very surprised if this restaurant survives. I was there early afternoon, there were no more than 15 guests in the restaurant. I'm sure it's more appealing in summer but this time of year it is not the place to go. There is no warmth to the atmosphere. It's actually cold and unwelcoming. (Cold in terms of atmosphere, temperature and personalities) There were 4-5 people at the bar and it was very noisy. Our waiter was very pleasant. She was attentive and eager to please. The food was average at best, nothing you'd remember 15 minutes after you leave. The construction out front makes it difficult for people to see how to get into the parking lot. Surely the owners could get the city to put a sign at the construction area with an arrow to the parking lot. You are losing business because people can't see how to enter!! This is a nice location but needs business attention quickly to survive here. Some suggestions: 1. Put a sign up to show guests they can enter around the construction cones. 2. Call the interior designer to make it warm and inviting in winter. (And to reduce noise level) 3. Hire a friendly, professional and efficient hostess. 4. Adjust the menu to items that will be outstanding even if fewer choices. It's pricey for that neighborhood so you need to make it memorable, 5. Train the staff how to service guests in a higher end restaurant. 6. Run lunch specials menu, happy hour etc to get people in the door. Best of luck. I hope you can pull it off because I have always loved that location and the basic bones of the place are very good. As it stands, I would not go back.

This is my second time coming to the Cove. I was here in the summer when it first opened. The first visit was a little rough with orders getting messed up and mixed drinks not tasting so great. This time around I went for a function. The staff was extremely pleasant, but the meal didn't flow. There was a decent gap of time between each course, no one seemed to be monitoring the water glasses- so they didn't get refilled. They forgot to serve one of the guests and they forgot the bread for our table. This is not horrible but you just expect better especially if they are supposed to handle large functions. The food itself varies on the entree, I've had the mushroom burger which was delicious, the stuffed scrod was just ok. I think they have potential but still need to work out a lot of the kinks.

Slow service, over-priced food that was not even that good. This suppose to be the place to go in Fall River? I think not.

We arranged to meet friends here BEFORE reading the reviews. I read them just before heading to the restaurant, and hoped that our experience would not reflect the majority of the others posted here. Sadly, we had to wait, like most everyone else, for an exorbitant amount of time for largely mediocre food. We did get our drink service quite quickly after being seated, but some 45 minutes later, we had not received any of the appetizers we ordered. When the burger I ordered - medium rare - finally arrived about an hour after ordering, it was literally charred on the outside and well done to the point of being dried out. I was too hungry to send it back and ate it anyway. The pizza was pretty good but the sauce was overly spicy. The clam cakes were greasy, as were the clams casino. The wait staff tried hard but couldn't compensate for an incompetent kitchen staff. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The service was my favorite part. We had a very attentive waitress, and even the bus boy was friendly and inviting. I loved that she came back to make sure my drink was okay, and offered to exchange it if it wasn't. It left me with the impression that she really cared about my experience. The lobster roll I ordered was good. Not great but good. I found the sweet potato crispy and lightly salted. Perfect. If you're a fan of gin, the cove soda has what you need. It was cool, refreshing, and an excellent pallet cleanser. I liked the decor. Inside, it was professional. Clean lines, great lighting, and a tasteful color scheme. Outside is more casual, scenic, and a great source of sunshine (weather permitting).

I would give 0 stars if I could. We arrived tonight at about 6:10 planning to eat on the deck. We knew there'd be a wait so when we were told 1 hour, we were fine with that. We had our 7 yo son and he's pretty good so we sat on the couches with a cold drink and listened to the band. After an hour and a half, I went up to check and was told we were #5 on the list. After 2 hours, my husband went up and was told there'd be AT LEAST another 1/2 hour wait? Are you kidding me? My son started bawling and I asked for a manager. When she came out, I told her why we were leaving. She didn't seem very interested and just said "I apologize". That's it. Problem #1: hire employees older than 21. I feel they were seating all of thier friends first. Problem #2: If you say an hour - mean an hour. One hour should not mean 2 1/2 hours! Problem #3: tables should be for dining- not drinking. Lots of people standing around taking tables that could be used to sell food. But I'm guessing they really only care about selling drinks. I was also at a function last week there (which is why I wanted to try the deck. It looked so nice). The function room was nice. The food was good....but the servers rushed everything terribly. You barely put your fork down and they were removing your plate, fork and water glass. No option to go up for more (from the buffet). It was like they could not wait to get everyone out of there. Many people commented that they felt like they were being rushed right out the door. Not good and it's a shame. Nice location, food was good (at least at the function...I'll never know on the restaurant), but service is terrible.

I had the fish tacos at The Cove. The tacos are much larger then I expected, and the price was affordable, the fish was light, fluffy and fresh. The atmosphere is exciting and relaxing at the same time. I really can't think of a better place the unwind on a Friday night. Great scenery - water, boats passing by, amazing sunsets, a battleship... Plan a night at The Cove, you won't regret it.

I've been here twice for lunch now. The first time I cringed when someone in the group I was with suggested going here. I've read the Yelp reviews and I've been giving this place a wide berth in hope they straighten things out. You know what? It wasn't bad. There was only one other table at lunch time on a Sunday, but a ton of workers, most of whom were chatting at the bar. Our group had Caesar salads, greek salad and a buffalo chicken wrap. Everyone was happy with their meal and my Caesar salad was tasty. I added the sea scallops onto my salad and received three very large scallops. Considering how few people were there, the food did take quite a while to come out. It's really nice, bright and airy inside with a large bar in the center and plenty of windows looking out onto the water. I gave this another try on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. There were a few more people there, but still fairly quiet. We started with the buffalo chicken tenders and enjoyed them. My husband had the ahi tuna and I had the scallop meal and they were both really good. Rebecca, our server was really attentive. Once again, our food did take some time to come out. It's a little concerning since there weren't many people in the restaurant. I wonder what it would be like in the busier summer months. I'd go back again.

So I finally made it here. I was rather excited about coming because the reviews were so mixed I wanted to make the decision for myself. We sat on the back deck and what a great deck it is! I totally recommend the deck just for drinks. However, our bartender was overworked and that was unfortunate, because she was a good bartender and didn't need all the nonsense that was going on around her. I had the chipotle lime potato chips, which were pretty good. It was just a snacky snack, so I cannot comment on the meals. I think perhaps, and I'm talking out of my butt here, that the staff is a little unorganized, so the negative reviews are all probably stemming from that.

The view is beautiful great place to come for drinks. The food is not remarkable.. fried clams were overcooked and really small portion. The service wasnr that great either....we had to go through meal without being offered salt n pepper, ketchup, vinegar or drink refills. Skip on food and service.

The waitress was super-nice. She explained the the place was renovated and the new menu was debuting today! How luck are we? It was nice outside, but we stayed inside due to on-going construction. The place is nice and clean. It looks new and the menus themselves were definitely new (always a bonus). I was made aware of the Kale soup as a special which I ordered. I thought it was tasty. My mom ordered a Strawberry and Spinach salad with chicken and she said it was one of the best salads she ever had. I have to admit - it looked good! I had the Azores Burger with Portuguese peppers and an egg on top and asked that it be prepared medium-rare. Unfortunately , the food took a while and then the burger came out med-well or well-done (it was cooked all the way through - no pink). I ate the burger anyway and it was pretty good. The homemade potato chips with cajun seasoning are really good - I recommend trying them. Nice touch. I told the waitress about the wait time and my overcooked burger and she apologized. The manager came over to apologize and offered me a dessert which I took him up on. I got a Lemon Berry Marscapone cake which was really good! It was a huge slice which just about put me at my calorie limit for the day, but who cares! It reminds me a bit of the East Bay Grill in Plymouth. Hopefully, they can stay on their A game and be as busy as they are. If I'm in "Fall Reeve" are again, I have no reservations about visiting The Cove. (nice view of the retired battleships from the window, btw)

We have been several times and each time, we have been disappointed. The food is barely average, they say they have valet, however the lot will get full and they make the patrons drive down the street to park...really? The view is great and the building is nice, however the lack of quality in food and laziness of the valet just doesn't compensate. There are better options.

We were finally able to give this place a try. First, it took a few minutes before we were asked for our drink order. Not a problem, I am always very understanding when its busy. The waitress was also very nice. We ordered our drinks and an app. They both came at the same time. We ordered calamari. It was about a 7 out of 10. I've had better but I've definitely had worse. For our meals, I ordered the panko cod and my husband ordered the ahi tuna. My cod came with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. I had to send the asparagus back because it was so burnt and really didn't even taste like asparagus. When I got the replacement, it wasn't any better. Kinda sad when I can make better asparagus at home. The cod was good and the potatoes were not bad. My husbands meal...the tuna didn't seem fresh, the sauce didn't work, and the slaw/salad was 'awful.' The aesthetics are nice. There were a lot of people at the bar, or just there for drinks. The service was good. Everyone was very nice. All in all, I feel the food is a tad overpriced for the quality. If I'm going to pay up to & $20+ for a meal, it needs to be worth it. Hopefully, if we try this place again, we will have better luck with the food.

Really nice place. Outside dining is amazing. It was a little cold the day I went but was still nice on the patio. Live music and great views. We only got appetizers but dang they were good. Looking forward to going back and trying the dinner menu.

Wife and I came here for our Anniversary dinner on a Sunday evening. Place was busy and was loud. Service was good. Food was fresh and good quality. We had the little necks for our appetizer. It was great!! We were just wrapping up our appetizer and our entrees was getting to our table. Timing was a tad off, but no biggie as we were finishing up the appetizer and our waitress recognized that our entrees was at our table faster than she had expected. I ordered the swordfish entree. My meal was good. My wife ordered a house salad and had scallops added to it. She too was very pleased with the food. Our waitress was very friendly. Overall, good experience.

Just spent $259.27 on drinks and food with my friends .. then we ask out waitress (who was very nice ) if we can move to a different table cause it was hot and no shade where we were and we where told yes but we just needed to close our tap first. We did what they asked and moved to a new table and then they said we could not do that you need to wait again. This was after they said we can just move. 3 different hostess came over before we where finally told we needed to leave that table. It was incredible how rude they where. My friends and I go here every Sunday after work and spend easy 100 dollars a person. We will not return after this. I hope they enjoy there summer money cause when it gets cold again all there customers will leave cause they give you no reason to come besides the outside bar.. respect for your customers goes a long way.

Great spot and fabulous dock-side bar! Nice crowd, not a bunch of 20 something's but not senior citizens either ;D. My favorites are the Fish Tacos & buffalo Mac & cheese....which is on the appetizer menu but definitely big enough for a meal! They have live entertainment outside on weekends in the nice weather. Also a function room for events. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Elroy , making excuses for my complaints does not show you will make any attempt to try to solve the problems I had at your restaurant. And if the lobster on the salad is always sadly scant, you should look the portions at many other local restaurants.

The restaurant was new and clean, I had the lobster rangoons and the special which was a fish sandwich. Both were fantastic, my fish was super fresh.

Nice location with an enormous bar. We only had the appetizer (chicken wings) which were good. The service was somewhat slow but nobody was in a rush and just enjoying the day. Will be back when the weather warms up and the deck is open!

What a hot mess!! Awful food and a total lack of identity. This restaurant labels itself as fine dining but is trying to be to many different things. When we arrived they tried to fit our party on a table way too small, despite us having a reservation. I overheard the hostesses saying they had already given our table away to someone else before our arrival even though we arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time. After much deliberation they figured out how to seat us at a proper table. Unfortunately this table was next to the band who was just getting set up. After we placed our order, we were brought bread which was very basic plain bread. Certainly not fitting the fine dining they are advertising. The food was terrible. In an area where fresh seafood is readily available, there is no excuse for not using fresh ingredients, but that is exactly what we found. Seafood was either frozen or from a can. Unacceptable to day the least! When a staff member (either manager or hostess) asked how our meals were, we explained that they were not good. Instead of offering to fix the problem or at least take it off the check, she just wrapped our leftovers. When the band started they were extremely loud. While I might like listening to the Doors in my car, it doesn't fit in a fine dining experience. It was so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. Looking around the dining room, it seemed we weren't the only ones. There were some positive. The renovations came out great and the decor is nice and inviting. Our waitress was very good also. The complimentary valet is also a welcome touch. Unfortunately these few positive points do not outweigh the lack of identity and terrible food quality and service. Skimping out on quality is really noticeable in fine dining. They could learn a few key points by watching any of the restaurant shows on TV. I'd personally love to see Gordon Ramsay come to The Cove in Fall River. We will never return. These problems are easily correctable, but it is clear that management does not care.

I wouldn't call it fine dining. Came here on a Wednesday night and it was packed, so much that there was no where to park. I reluctantly had to valet my car. And even their lot was full. We had 3 cars all together. Strike 1, The valet guys drove my little corolla like it was a race car in an action movie. We went in and waited just 10 min for a table, got drinks at the bar, which I'm told were really good. (i only drink water) We were seated in the indoor dining area, really pretty fish tanks and the view was nice, but it was LOUD! For fine dining they need to move the band outside. I felt like I was shouting the whole time. The waitress came over and brought water, there were no specials that night but the menu had it all. Everything sounded really good. Strike 2. I only drink water and it was never refilled. I had to ask twice. We ordered the Calamari app. Which was average, good, way to many peppers though and only rings no tentacles. I ordered the panko cod loin, it was good, but the sauce never came with it. I didn't bother to ask for it. Others ordered salmon which she said was good and the buffalo Mac and cheese was really good too. The food took a little longer to come out and Strike 3. We had to ask for bread. The price wasn't bad, average I think, but again wouldn't call it fine dining. 1 app, 1 drink on the bill ( the others were paid at the bar) 3 entrees, a salad and side order of sweet potato fries, $94 dollars. We left around 10:30. Only find out the valet guys had left, no one came around to give us our keys or to even tell us. Turns out, our keys were left at the bar. We went to the parking lot and found our cars unlocked! Very mad about this. When we went back inside to tell a manager we were told the valet is a third party company and did nothing about it. That was Strike 4. I know leaving valuables in your car while you valet is not advised but, we were forced to valet, due to lack of open parking. Heads up if you use the valet, I wouldn't be surprised if cars get bumped, scratched or dinged with the way they drove my car. And you can bet on them not locking it. This all being said, I would go back and try it again with less expectations. And no I wouldn't valet my car, if the lot is full, I'd go somewhere else or wait a couple of min to see if someone pulled out.

Had a disappointing meal this evening after waiting more than an hour for it to be served. The chicken Marsala was not any version of the dish you might imagine - a sauteed chicken breast swimming in a very thin chicken broth, minus the promised mushrooms! The lobster salad included two claws and one knuckle - hardly worth the $19 price. Wine was not generously served - perhaps one third of a glass, if that. The place is noisy, but the decor is attractive. Outside tables offer a great view of the Braga Bridge and Battleship Cove. Go there for a drink and enjoy the view, but don't count on a particularly good meal.

Went for the first time tonight & was pleasantly surprised! We had seen the reviews & was skeptical but thoroughly enjoyed it. There were 6 of us & had made reservations & were seated promptly. All of us enjoyed our meals. My meal was excellent-the lobster salad plate-great flavor & I have enough for lunch tomorrow! Service was very good. We will definitely return.

I was impressed with the view of Battleship cove. Everything inside looked immaculate. The Fish tank they have in the restaurant is very impressive. A very nice looking place to eat. The service was rather slow but I was in no hurry. The menu had many items to choose from. The food tasted and looked great. My meal was quite good. The live music on the deck was decent but very loud. I could really hear the music every time they opened the outside door. I don't understand all the subpar reviews. This restaurant is good in my book. It's at least worth a try.

First off, the restaurant is lovely. Food was very good. We were a party of 4 on a Wednesday night with a reservation. It took me three phone calls to make my plans, I told the hostess it was our first time and asked for a nice table which we received right by the windows. Unfortunately, when we arrived the two young girls could not find our names and it took us almost a half hour to be seated. Our waitress was very nice. My calamari was delicious. We waited over an hour for our dinners, after my appetizer was served. Our server explained that there were two other large parties coming out before us and she was very sorry for the delay. This was totally unacceptable and we will not be back. I know you are new and I wish you well. Hopefully you can work out all the kinks.

Called in the am and reserved a table for 8 for my mothers 80th Birthday. Asked for outdoor seating and the hostess said they dont take reservations for outside (Not sure why as there were 2 hostesses out there managing things (Very nice girls) I said inside is ok. Got there and to my suprise the inside hostess said they had reserved a table for us outside. No they didn't, but put one together rather quickly for us. View was great and it was a gorgeous night. The place is beautiful, I have to admit.....very nicely done. The server was pleasant and since it was our first time there explained some things to us, then proceeded to tell us that it was extremely busy that day, they were out of many things and it would take about 40 mins for our food to come out, as the kitchen was backed up. Alcohol drinks took forever and the watermelon jalapeno margarita was quite spicy (was told it was not) and was weak. Asked for bread and butter while waiting and the bread was cold and sad. Antipasto app was good but parm truffle oil chips were just ok. Dinner took forever as was promised. Salmon over risotto was excellent as were the scallops over risotto with asparagus. Chicken parm was good as well. The rest of our meals, horrible horrible horrible. One shrimp scampi over pasta was dry....no scampi sauce whatsoever, The gluten free pasta was hard, barely cooked. Fish and chips were sad, out of french fries but never told. All out of tartar sauce and not even relish to make homemade tartar sauce!! Asked for a manager, one came over and promised to make things right. Never saw him again. The general manager was there and I saw him say hi to the young 20 somethings drinking but never once came over to our table to apologize. Replacement meals came out after all our other plates were cleared away, took them to go. As we waited forever to get our bill I saw the GM, Elroy, sitting at the bar across from us. Up until that point I was willing to give it one more try, but as I saw him sit there, knowing how unhappy we were, searching for our server (who by the way was very pleasant and also the GM's wife) and he STILL DID NOTHING ....never again will I go back. When the server finally came with our bill we were told they took off the meals we sent back and one app.....an app that we never even ordered! She fixed that and by that time I was so frustrated I wanted to run out screaming. It's really a shame. I had people visiting from NY and I was very embarrassed about the whole thing. I really wanted to love this place as I know some fabulous people who work there. The kitchen needs a major overhaul and someone who knows how to order food to last thru the weekend.

I went here for a birthday dinner for a friend last Friday. The food and drinks were both really good, and the service was amazing. We stayed after dinner for love music and had a great time dancing as well. The outdoor patio is perfect for the weather right now. Will definitely be returning here.

the first time I visited was during opening weekend so I figured I'd give it some time before I write a review... A year later, I returned. I was pleased to see that it was still open and had customers. I also confess that all I really wanted was a lobster roll from Blount, but they are closed on Saturdays. So I thought I'd patronize The Cove. It was nearly 1:30 and the restaurant was hardly at capacity. They had customers, but plenty of available tables. However, they asked for my cell number so that I could be paged when our table was ready, about 15 minutes. We decided to get some air on the back deck and sat down at one of the many empty tables outside. We were promptly informed that there was a wait list for those tables as well... Why are there so many wait lists when there are plenty of empty tables?? So we attempted to grab some chairs near the bar, but couldn't because my daughter is 8. Speaking of my child, she's starving and it's been 20 minutes so I check on our table. This is where I'm going to state the obvious with full-disclosure that I was born and raised in FR: generally speaking, the population of FR is sorely lacking in personality. Or maybe I should say, they come across as negative? Either way, the hosts/hostesses and waitstaff could use a major lesson in customer service and general pleasantries. I should be used to it by now, but each time I visit, I'm blown away by the attitudes. There I am, ready and willing to spend $$$ at this wanna-be-Newport-esque restaurant... but repeatedly treated like a burden. No smiles. Not welcoming at all. When we finally sat, ordered, and ate... it was as I remembered: our meals were overpriced and just okay. Our waitress never, ever cracked a smile. Honestly, wtf is the goal of this place?! I should also note that my daughter travels everywhere with us and has been accommodated with kindness at much finer establishments.

Thought we were going for a fine dining experience, much to the contrary, it started off by no one greeting us at the door so we sat our selves. Then we ordered our meal being a party of 11, and having had reservations for a graduation dinner, we ordered the appetizers but they were out of them, then we ordered our meal, and after waiting 25 minutes we were told they no longer had that option, after another 25 minutes we were then told they did not have that option either, meanwhile they served us bread that starving birds wouldn't have aten. Finally at dessert the waitress forgot my dessert and then the management preceded to loose my credit card and we had to cancel it, we will NEVER go there again.

I took my wife there for our 20th anniversary. It's a very nice restaurant but our waitress was not in a good mood and it showed. It kind of ruined our experience and I thought both of our dishes were a little over cooked. Don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

Truly impressive. Wine list is amazing and the food was perfect. Every step and each bite. Finished with dessert and a shockingly long after dinner drink list. Waitress was attentive and staff was coordinated.

Stopped in with my wife for lunch. The oysters were awesome and also buffalo Mac and cheese. I had the lobster ravioli and have to say the pasta was a little hard. Good flavors but just slightly under cooked. One of the waitresses lost my wife's credit card for about 20 minutes. It was funny at first but was hoping to get a drink while waiting or at least a drink or 2 taken off the bill considering we just sat there for 20 mins wondering what was happening. I think the next time might be closer to the summer and for dinner to give it another chance but I will not be screaming to head back right away.

Went here after visiting Battleship Cove on the recommendation of a coworker. We saw there was a special for two: two salads, ttwo entrées, and a bottle of wine for $35.00. At first we thought too good to be true, but figured we'd try it. I orderwd the chicken Cordon Bleu, and my husnand got the baked haddock dish. There was a limited menu of choices for the special, but they were diverse and all sounded good. The salads were delicious and beautiful. No limp lettuce with a cuke slice and cherry tomatoe! Our meals came and they looked yum. The portion was perfect. The sides were so good. Some of the best mashed I've ever had. Husband's roasted fingerling potatoes were so good! Bottle of wine was fine. Nothing special and we're not wine aficionados, so we enjoyed it. We drank and ate every bite.

A great summer spot. Awesome view of Braga Bridge and Battleship Cove. Spicy Bloody Marys, also awesome. Large menu. Fair Prices. Food was simple, but tasty and fresh. They also do Sunday brunch buffet style. If you're looking for a lively place with decent food and even better drinks I highly recommend The Cove.

This place is an exercise in the unfortunate. Perhaps someone tried to parlay an auto-parts-store fortune into a restaurant. The Cove struggles with a cohesive theme and even the operational basics of the service industry. Location is unique, but the multiple fails go beyond getting out the kinks: The Cove has a basic identity problem. It tries too hard to be too many things: waterfront dining, function hall, marina, young crowd bar/party scene, and seems--regrettably--doomed to mediocrity on all. Location: Cool view of the bridge & the ship, but also of goons stuck in the 1980s roaring in Miami Vice-era cigarette boats. Nice breeze and sunset. Music: Live band at the outside bar--a concept ill-conceived from the start: "waterfront dining" and cover bands that you'd otherwise see in a basement bar in a rural college town? The band sounded as tired as the players were...these should have been giving their grandkids a Werther's Original candy...not trying to breathe new life into Brown Eyed Girl. Service: Everyone was perfectly friendly. But it was WAY too disorganized for the hordes of staff running around with Secret Service earpieces. There were TWO hostesses outside, one seated us outside but a server never came! After 30 minutes, we put our names on the inside list to avoid the mutually-embarrassing situation of having to ask "May we order food?" [embarrassing because, well, it's a restaurant] Bar: Outside service was very non-urgent. As I stood there with a $20 in hand to nonsubltly ask for help, yet the proximate bartender seemed more intent on an extended chat with another patron, then needed clarification on "Sapphire & tonic"...(glad I didn't order a negroni!). Big fail: tonic was from a soda gun...tasted disgusting...may have even just been soda water. Food: If The Cheesecake Factory wanted waterfront/seafood theme, this would be it. Over-salted, over buttered carbs that middle America's palette loves. The mussels may have well been empty shells sautéed with canned chopped clams & boiled prosciutto...nasty. Lobster rangoon was edible, tasty like at an airport food court Manchu Wok. Calamari was about as inspired as from a BJ's Wholesale tasting. Meh. Actually, that is offensive to the word "meh". By the time we finally got food we were so hungry we scarfed it down as if on road trip, forced to eat at a Burger King rest stop, only to regret the decision immediately. Clientele: Wow...just wow. The odd gamut (or maybe gauntlet) included the requisite cranky blue-hairs, but also teenagers dressed for hip-hop, a guy with mullet!, a girls' night out that would certainly devolve into a "girls gone wild" video, a few WWF jabroni impostors. Where to end? As the bar crowd got boozy, am ungracious, big-haired robeast jammed her chair into me. Cougars, you ask? If Dante came by they would have inspired an 8th layer of Hell. Seemed like everyone in town was there to see the new spectacle or "hot spot", but it was "all kinds" like a Las Vegas sidewalk or half-rate traveling carnival. Perhaps the relatively cheap prices don't send the market signal that this isn't a teenager hangout. Or is it?...again, an identity problem. Décor: Looks like the builder hired his girlfriend who thinks she's a designer after watching a lot of HGTV. Clearly lots of $$ went to expensive marble & tile, ceiling fans that cost as much as my first car. But then--true to the many incongruities of the place--horrendously classless built-in wall aquariums with periodic strobe lights that frighten the fish... one PETA-nutjob customer away from being a undercover news story. Then again, when then the place is forced to boost revenue, the fish tanks will be quite apropos at Wednesday night karaoke. I can envision the basement bar in the owner's house receiving much of the decor just before the bankruptcy filing is processed. Parking: "FREE VALET"... lipstick on a pig. Why valet parking? The parking lot is RIGHT THERE! Why would I want to wait for some poor kid to get my car when it's 20 feet away. And then tip the guy? Useless. As if I should suddenly feel like I'm at The Taj as the fumes from the water-Corvettes drift by. The only thing valet did for me was prevent me from leaving this place as quickly as possible. BOTTOMLINE...if The Boathouse Restaurant got really drunk at her college roommate's wedding and got knocked up by The Tipsy Seagull in a well-drink infused bout of poor judgment, this place would be the offspring. Tries too hard, but can't escape underlying bushleague cheesiness that is too resilient not to ooze out at the seams. The Cove will leave you wanting your $80 and the last 3 hours of your life back. Unless they can get slot machines or "off track betting" to supplement the income, this place won't last. The Cove is a frustrating proposition to witness--so much effort seemingly spent, but the place can't seem to get out of its own way.

Very poor response to their error - my husband had dinner with a colleague tonight and offered to get take out for me. A Unfortunately the Cove restaurant fallnriver that came up on my c omputer was actually in Charlestown, ri. I ordered a baked seafood platter with a baked potato. My husband showed my text order to the waitress who said they. We're out of baked potatoes, she could get sweet potato fries instead. What I got was a FRIED platter with regular fries. My husband called, told the manager, suggested the waitress could have told him they did not have a baked platter (he would have called me.). So the manager says, oh - sorry... The end. Pretty lame for a $35 error on their part. How unprofessional. With this kind of management they are doomed.

Little neck app is really spicy. Crab rangoons are good. The drinks are weak, using a large glass for a standard shot of liquor. Shrimp Mozambique was good. Chicken parmigiana was the best.meal tonight. House merlot from Chile was a good choice.

I've been here twice and both times were for work functions. I have to start off by saying how absolutely GORGEOUS this restaurant is - I can't take anything away from the appearance or ambience of this place. I just can't! ... Both times I've been we have been seated in the banquet room. One serious downfall is the thin wall that lies between the banquet room and the kitchen. We could hear EVERYTHING, including the clinging and clanking of utensils, yelling between cooks, etc. Not what an owner would want his guests to hear. I also haven't been impressed with the service or the quality of the food. The most recent time I went we had a five course meal and chose from a prix fixe menu. The options were mouthwatering; filet mignon with lobster stuffing with potato and vegetable of the day, blackened swordfish atop creamy risotto with asparagus, and chicken pesto. Well, usually I'd go all out and order the filet; however, I LOVE risotto and can't cook it so whenever I see it on a menu - it's a must! So needless to say, that's what I went with. Well, when my meal arrived - the swordfish was there (far from blackened) - but where's my risotto and asparagus? Nope. Instead we were given green beans (close, but not quite asparagus my friends!) and instead of risotto - small fried potato fries. Umm, so much for sticking with the menu. On top of it all, a couple of my coworkers had asked the waitress what the potato of the day was and we were told mashed. Your wait staff should probably know the vegetable and potato of the day prior to starting their shift. You should also stick to what's on the menu and not just throw the same thing on each plate because it's easier for your kitchen staff. Hoped no one would notice? No. We noticed and for that reason we have no plans of going back anytime soon. It's a shame because the location is a prime spot and so much can be done with it, but the service and food quality needs a serious revamping. Oh and the prices? This isn't Newport or Bristol. It's Fall River and we are overlooking the Taunton River. Let's not get crazy!

Place is beautiful but food is very mediocre . No consistency and quality of food is subpar for this level of restaurant . It does have one of the best atmospheres for drinks so for that it's worth the trip.

First and last time at The Cove. First of all I witnessed all four handicap spaces being used by people with no disabilities. The aisles in between those spaces were also being used as parking spaces and the majority of the lot was empty!!! Unbelievable. We were met by a "Fall River" rude hostess. We asked to sit near a window, however they were "reserved" yet not one was occupied throughout our two hour meal. Unbelievable. Food was okay at best- no flavor. The waitress was nice. The only reason I'm giving them a one star was because of her! The management was dysfunctional at best. We called ahead to ask about the specials; yet there were No specials offered and when we asked our waitress she spent a good while trying to figure out if there were specials. Not one. So a tip for the management- get on the same page, don't lie or advertise fictional specials. The whole experience was horrible. The waitress and the company I was with was the only good thing about the afternoon. The only thing you need to know about this place is - don't go here - chose another local restaurant to spend your money at.

I come to The Cove more often than I'd like to admit. In the Fall River area it is one of the best places around as far as the atmosphere. You totally forget where you are ! The outdoor deck is huge and is never too over crowded. The inside is beautiful as well. It is a nice place to have date night or come with your friends. The food is good and reasonable. I love The Cove!

Really want to like this place . Went once when it first opened . Food was good but service was horrible . Was told it was because they were new and unsure of staffing . Went back a year later and it is actually the same . The staff look so sad . It was lunch so wasn't busy but everyone moved at such a slow pace. Took forever for our lunch to come out and our water was not refilled . Can't beat the location though .

OK...full disclosure here, we tried the Cove a few times over the summer and it was clear they were still figuring things out. This was our first time back since the summer and WOW what an improvement!!! Every aspect of our dinner was top notch. I had the Ahi-Tuna which was as good as I have had anywhere. For apps we had calamari which was tender and had great flavor and the lobster rangoon which was also excellent. The service was out of this world..very attentive without being intrusive. The wine list is outstanding and at very fair prices (a few dollars more than the liquor store which is a rare find for fine wine). All in all this is our new favorite south coast restaurant!

We stopped in for drinks en route home from an amazing lunch in Warren RI. I wanted another Mimosa so we decided to stop at the newly opened, Cove. The place is brand new. The decor inside is pretty but sparse. They need to add some more art. It's trendy and bright. The bathroom was immaculate There are many staff, some seeming to be unsure what to do (seen hanging around and a few on cell phones outside). We went outside despite inclement weather. The barman was great. The mimosa, not so great. The juice came from the fountain and the champagne was a little flat. My boyfriend loved his Hendrick's Martini. I'd go back as it has nice views of battleship cove and has potential.

Nice building with million dollar view. The food falls short. Family party with 8 of us. We all tried a little bit of everything. No one said it was bad but no one said it was good. It's more an attempt at an upscale bar due to location then an upscale restaurant due to Food and service. I really wish it was better.

I think its a good addition to the Fall River Waterfront. Its a little pricey but thats what you get for the view. I find the food to be delicious and the staff is friendly.

This place has been open more than a year and still needs help. It was the slowest service .We sat for 40 minutes before anyone came over for a drink order. They were out of clams, stuffed qougues ,french fries, tarter sauce, tuna steak and it went on and on. I have tried it twice and won't go back. The food was cold when we got it and one dinner that had angel hair pasta was not cooked. Terrible in all aspects of food service

Very fun place with a great outdoor area and solid food. I came here for a mid day drink. The service was great, deck was hopping but not too crowded, and the food was good. Highly recommended for a casual drink and some seafood.

We went there for dinner Saturday around 5:30. The first thing I noticed was how many waitresses were sitting around the bar working on paperwork, others were just wondering around and when we sat down at our table a small group of them stood a few feet away just hanging around talking. Really the most unprofessional set up I have seen. Now the food. I ordered pan seared scallops served over risotto. Now for 27.00 a plate you would think maybe a salad with it? nope you got bread on the table that tasted worse than what I could buy at any supermarket. Once dinner arrived I was sadly unimpressed. The risotto was gummy and tasteless. No spice at all I actually had to add salt. The scallops were rubbery and over cooked. The other diners that were with me stated their dishes were ok but all said the price was crazy for the slow service (imagine with all those people standing around doing nothing the service was slow) and the amount of food you were served. Nothing was impressive. The place itself seems confusing in design. You get the impression that it is a mix of trying to be a family place , an vent place and yet you have prices that reflect a more classic type of restaurant. Nice location but it misses the mark on most things. They need some serious changes there because it seems like they are very disorganized. I would not go back nor would I suggest anyone give it a try. They have too much to figure out to make it worth the prices.

My family's third visit (and last) Hostess handed us menus before we had our coats off, turned on her heels and left.Orders were taken promptly. We received the drinks and apps.In good time.Little necks and lobster Rangoon were good. Then things went downhill for a 45 min wait for dinner. Dining room had 5 tables of people. Waitress disappeared and when we saw her we had to ask where our dinners were.Manager finally delivered the meals saying "the baked scrod takes awhile to cook."That only made us more fed up.

Been here twice and after trying to be charged twice for one drink I will ever go back. The attitudes of the staff does not convey the high end place they are trying to go for here. It's not working. The outside service was a complete mess and that was managements fault. How and why are services working both in the inside and outside. Perhaps now that it is cold out they may take a look at there staffing issues. Go elsewhere. I'd rather drive to Newport.

We've now been here twice and both visits were good. The first time was shortly after they opened and while the service was a bit confused, we figured it was due to it being newly opened. The food was good. We decided to go again with a group of 8 and after reading the reviews, I was really nervous about it! However, we had a great experience. We had reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered drinks and 3 appetizers: wings, cheese plate and clam cakes. All were really good. I ordered the 8oz filet and hubby ordered the shrimp fra diavlo. Both were excellent. The atmosphere of this place is really beautiful and I found the prices very fair. We will definitely go back!
